Essential Baby Items

When you have a new baby you will notice a massive change to your lifestyle. You will need to care for them night and day and there are a number of important items that you will need to consider. Lets consider three of the important one.

Firstly, whilst breastfeeding has been proven to be the best form of nutrition for your growing child, not all women are able to express milk and use the traditional forms of breastfeeding. This is where an Isis breast pump will come in. This provides a great alternative for women who cannot express milk and makes the extraction of milk simple. Look to get a pump that is manual and does not require any form of electricity or battery.

The process of breast pumping is totally painless as the breast pump will massage the breast softly and therefore also manage to express more milk. You can also find pumps that can be used and then will directly pump their contents into your storage bottles.

A second essential item would be baby bath tubs. Lots of parents will start off using their sink to wash their new baby but this is not ideal and is unhygienic. Instead, baby baths that attach straight onto the main bath are a far better alternative. Look, if you can, to get tubs that allow the child to sit upright as you wash them.

A great sort of bath tub to get is a Spa Baby. These allow the baby to sit upright and as a result they stay a lot more calm and relaxed as they feel similar to how they did for the first nine months of their lives in the womb. For tubs that have the baby lying back, they can often feel uncomfortable, making bathing your child a stressful experience.

Finally, another totally key item is quite obviously the crib. There are several criteria that you need to fill in order to provide a safe sleeping environment for your baby. First of all, the cribs come in all sorts of different shapes and sizes and some will be very modern and others more traditional and classy.

These safety tips include getting cribs with narrow slats so that the baby is unable to get caught between them, finding one with a mattress that fits properly, and getting blankets to go with it that are not going to be a hazard. One mistake that you should never makes is putting in a load of toys and cushions for your child to make them more comfortable. This can be a serious choke and over-heating hazard, both of which can prove fatal.
