Since centuries ago, the art and often referred to as the health practice of acupuncture has been practiced in various countries mostly in Asia. This elucidates the grandeur as well as the complexity of pinning needles in different parts of the body for different reasons like pain relief and treatment of health issues. The basic effect of acupuncture on infertility of a person is regulation of blood pressure through right stimulation of the central nervous system. It largely stimulates the production and release of endorphins that help inhibiting the pain and neurohormones and neurotransmitters that allow for the body to heal by itself.

Acupuncture on infertility is also observed as one of the effective remedies for different infertility problems specifically hormonal imbalance. The levels of hormones are leveled accordingly through increasing blood flow on different vital organs as it regulates the body system. Moreover it also helps enhance the vital functions of the ovaries as well as follicles. Endometrium plays a major role in thickening the uterus lining and also benefits from acupuncture through increased blood flow. A particular infertility treatment like IVF or In Vitro Fertilization is also greatly aided in elevating its success rate. In actuality, a number of specialists now offer acupuncture as a part of the so called IVF treatment. This becomes more noticeable on the improvements made in the process of transferring the embryo that leads to more success in pregnancy. Another specific issue of infertility that can be treated as well by acupuncture is the presence of spasmed tubes. This is simply done by making these spasmed tubes into de-spasmed ones. Moreover, there are also many other infertility issues that can be effectively cured by acupuncture like Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, increased follicle stimulating hormone, repeated miscarriage, idiopathic infertility, luteal phase defect, hyperprolactinemia, and also sperm DNA fragmentation.

The body has the capacity to heal itself naturally and acupuncture also enhances this ability. In this case, the more you have acupuncture the better it is for you. In the case of women who are about to take IVF treatments or donor egg transfer, they are often treated with acupuncture for three to four months before going through the said processes. Acupuncture is strongly advised for women before and after they have the embryo transfer. This is for the purpose of enhancing the the therapeutic effect as well as the different infertility cures. Basically, fertility treatments bring about stress on the person undergoing it. And the best remedy for this is through acupuncture. Due to the fact that acupuncture has lots of ways in adding the treatment of infertility, it is advisable for couples who are suffering from this kind of problem to give every possible option a shot.

Acupuncture also has accompanied risks but is very minimal. Nevertheless, miscarriage can take place as acupuncture is not done properly on a pregnant woman. This makes it important to make sure that acupuncture is only done by a certified acupuncturist who is very well capable and specializes in the said therapy. A more advanced type of acupuncture called electro-acupuncture is used to inhibit pain in labor. The need to be hospitalized is also significantly reduced which helps a person save from further expenses.

Above everything, recent studies have disclosed that the right blend of herbal medicine, acupuncture, and traditional medical help serve as the right formula for infertility treatment. In most cases, acupuncture and herbal medicines are seen to be more effective through the aid of traditional medical interventions.

I heard you guys were thinking of trying for a little one. That’s excellent news! I suppose if you increase your fertility naturally you’ll be less prone to need medication or fertility treatments which are usually very pricey and quite invasive. Even if you do need the treatments, I believe these ideas can really help to make the treatments more successful as well. Here goes:

· Learn how to know when you are most fertile. Obviously if you are aware of when you’re fertile, then you know when to have intercourse and your chances of getting pregnant pick up. You’ll also get better at knowing when to anticipate ‘that time of the month’ – which will assist you to notice when you’re late! Every morning, immediately as; measure your temperature as this can help you to realize when you ovulate. Record these numbers on a chart and you should see that your waking temperature (also known as your basal body temperature) goes up around the time of ovulation. As gross as it sounds you can also test your cervical mucus since it looks and feels like egg white around the time of ovulation – this makes it easier for the spermies to get to the egg.

· Have lots of sex.

· Get into position. Different sexual positions allow for differing degrees of penetration and so a few positions are especially good for getting pregnant. You want all the assistance you can get when you’re trying for a little one so let gravity work with you and not against you by avoiding positions with the woman on top. Try the man-on-top position or have him enter you from behind for the most effective deposits. There’s an old wives tale that says that holding your legs in the air for half an hour after sex can help – feel free to try!

· Prenatal vitamins are important. You need supplements to operate at your best – and this includes your reproductive equipment. Vitamins will also help to prevent birth defects and other problems when you do eventually conceive so you’ll be giving your little one the best start in life.

· Have more sexual intercourse.

· Eat healthy foods. If you’re trying for a little one then you need to monitor your weight. Being too fat or too lean can affect your fertility badly so aim for a reasonable weight for your height. Find a healthy diet and stick to it.

· Have even more sex.

· Get fit. This will help to keep your weight right and will prepare your body for the pregnancy; growing and carrying a baby around is hard work! Excessive exercise can affect your fertility negatively so don’t push yourself too hard.

· Avoid toxins. Caffeine, smoking and alcohol are all bad news when you are trying for a little one. Cutting out these substances now is good preparation for the pregnancy. Check with your doctor on the safety of any other medication you are using.

· Wear boxers. Guys, tight undies can decrease your sperm count or damage your sperm because it just gets too warm down there. Even sitting at a desk all day could be detrimental so make sure you take regular breaks to walk around and cool them spermies down.

· Relax! Fertility can be negatively affected by stress for a number of reasons. Try to keep the stress levels down.

It surely won’t do any harm to try out some of these ways to increase your fertility naturally. These tips should help you get pregnant naturally but if you don’t they will certainly set the scene for a healthy pregnancy, a healthy baby and a healthier you!

Infertility: Natural Treatment Options

I can only speak for myself here, but I do anything to avoid going to the doctor. I understand that they are generally skilled at what they do, but copious numbers of doctors seem very keen to prescribe antibiotics for the tiniest tickle. I acknowledge that there’s a time and a place for antibiotics, but I’m generally relatively wary. For me, when it comes to dealing with infertility, natural treatment would be my first stop. Why go and pump yourself full of pills, which give you side effects so you need even more pills, when the natural treatment could work just as well?

Some natural treatments will raise your fertility specifically whilst others help your body to help itself by reducing tension and improvinggeneral health. By now you’re possibly wondering what natural treatments can help for infertility. Well, here goes:

- Acupuncture – The use of acupuncture in fertility treatment is relatively well documented. The practitioner will use super-fine needles to stimulate particular points. Apparently acupuncture sessions prior to and after some IVF procedures raise the pregnancy rate.

- Herbs – People underestimate the power of herbs, so make sure that you consult someone who knows what they’re doing.

- Homeopathy – Homeopathy may help both male and female infertility by stimulating the body to sort itself out.

- Pilates and Yoga – Just confirm that your instructor knows something about yoga and exercise for infertility.

- Aromatherapy – Apparently this can normalize your monthly cycle so that you are able to get your timing for the baby dance just right.

- Naturopathy – Incorporates a large assortment of therapies – encompassing things like acupuncture and dietary changes.

- Sleep – Don’t lose too much sleep! As tempting as it is to stay awake till the early hours of the morning researching infertility, it is really unhelpful as sporadic sleep patterns can ruin your cycle too.

- The list goes on!

Make certain that the guy with the needles knows what he’s doing! A qualified therapist is a necessity. Also, make certain that the person is aware that you are there regarding your infertility as some procedures may be unsuitable or they might have the opposite effect. Your infertility clinic may be able to refer you to someone experienced in the natural treatment of infertility.

You might be the kind of person who is somewhat suspicious about whether these treatments work or not, but despite those reservations I think that there is no hurt in having a little TLC. Anything that brings your stress levels down will be positive for fertility, and you’ll feel more prepared to deal with whatever comes your way.

So if you’re managing infertility, natural treatment options could be just the additional help that you need. Feel free to test any or all of them; enough sleep, a little exercise, healthy eating and a good dose of tender loving care with some pampering on the side never hurt anyone!
