Sleep Wedges For Babies With Reflux

Any child may have acid reflux, no matter whether breast fed or bottle fed.  With acid reflux a baby frequently has stomach ache; until gas can be passed to ease the pain. It has been found that lying a child flat on his back can maximize the symptoms of acid reflux, resulting in further distress to baby. All babies should be laid down on their back for sleeping. Consequently, propping up baby’s head assists alleviate some of the discomfort from acid reflux.  One way to do this is utilizing a wedge. 

Keeping baby in an upright position for at least 30 minutes after feeding will help avoid symptoms from acid reflux developing. However, babies may need to be in that position longer, and while not upright, the wedge props baby up enough to ease some of the symptoms caused by acid reflux.  No two babies are the same, and babies have different severities of acid reflux. Whether your child experiences greatly, or only a bit, the child reflux wedge can perform wonders on his comfort level. 

If you don’t use a wedge, you’ll want to prop baby’s head up by some means to a 30% degree angle. It is best that child be propped up every time he’s set down for a nap or for night time.  Basically you want baby’s head to be higher than baby’s stomach. In no way compromise your baby’s safety when propping up a crib or cradle.  Ensure that it’s as protected as likely. Although there are a number of ways to maintain baby’s head above the stomach, the baby reflux wedge is most likely the simplest and most practical – and the wedge was created for this very objective.

You may also consider placing baby to sleep on his side as opposed to his back. This will work for some babies but not for others. Cleaning Tips To Keep Baby Stroller Clean

The very first time you bring the stroller out of the box, it is so sparkly and clean.  If only it could stay that way. However, should you use your baby stroller often, as most of us do, it’s going to get dusty, and may have stains from food, drinks, drooling, and every little thing else it can grab along the way. Therefore, it’s vital that you clean your stroller periodically.  There is no far better place for harmful bacteria to grow than a nasty child stroller with food stuck all over it. Furthermore to frequent cleanings, some general preservation along the way will boost its longevity and probably prolong the performance of it.

To clean a child stroller it should be emptied completely – preferable outside. You may need to turn it on its side and upside down to obtain everything that is loose to drop out.  Eliminate every little thing that’s removable from the stroller: trays, fabrics, covers, and cushions.  The fabric items may be washed in the washing machine; but be sure to look for mold or mildew. Applying vinegar and then baking soda to the affected areas and letting it to stay for 1 hour will generally making washing more efficient. Use the dryer for drying, or you can lay them on a safe surface sunshine for added sanitizing.

Use standard household cleaners on the child stroller but not bleach or bleach-based cleaning items. Initially vacuum the baby stroller – all of the crooks and crannies the vacuum will reach. Include any baskets below or at the back of the stroller. After vacuuming is complete, thoroughly clean the wheels.
