Not All Free Are Created Equal And The Free Baby Magazines Shows Why

MY SISTER IS ABOUT TO GIVE BIRTH TO HER SECOND CHILD. My sister is scheduled to give birth by the second week of the month. We asked her why she looked worried. Why the concern? This is her second one. Putting everything into consideration, taking care of her baby should be much easier now. My sister confided to us that our Mom was there during her first pregnancy. She was able to help her take care of the baby. Mother practically took care of my sister’s baby even though my sister assisted her. And this did not help sis cause she never mastered the basics. Our mom has gone abroad to help my other sister which have also given birth earlier this month. But before Mom left, she gave my sister a stack full of free baby magazines. Mom personally arranged the free baby magazines. Our Mom arranged it so that my sister will be able to read it according to importance. Our mom assured my sister that she will find everything she needs in the free baby magazines.

My sister have her doubts. She cannot believe that she will learn a lot from free baby magazines. Later on, she had a change of heart. The magazine indeed contains many valuable insights and advises on proper caring of toddlers. Dear sis was very very interested in reading the experts pinion with regards to the many problems in raising an infant. Sis believed that with the free baby magazines, Mom is at her side again.

When the baby arrived, my sis is very prepared to meet the challenge. Ironically, she feels she is more confident with her baby now. All those days reading the free baby magazines really brought her positive results. Sis wrote a long letter to Mom, thanking her for all she has done for her and for the free baby magazines. She also reminded Mom not to forget sending her the latest issues of the magazines. She was very thrilled when a package of free baby magazines arrived. This letter was inserted by my Mom:

To my darling daughter,

I am glad that you have found the self-assurance to raise your new child. I congratulate you and I am very proud of you.

This is going to be our little secret. When you gave birth to your first son, I myself is still at loss on how to raise a child. It was your grandma who helped me out. You didn’t know that I was secretly reading the free baby magazines to help me out. All the while you believed I knew all these things already. It really paid off, didn’t it? Love, Mom

Unbelievable Mother. Really unbelievable!

So you’ve just learned you’re going to have a baby, congratulations! Being a mom can be very fulfilling but there are traps for the unwary. If this is your first baby, there are so many things you’ll need to know. So where do you go to find out about how to best care for your new baby?

Have you considered parenting classes? If so you may be wondering if these could be the answer. What are the advantages and disadvantages of taking these classes? We’ll go in to these below and maybe make your decision a bit easier.

Now you may have had previous experience such as babysitting or looking after your friends’ kids. Take it from me this doesn’t even give you a glimpse of what parenting is all about. Caring for babies is an enormous responsibility and although it is very rewarding, you do need to know what you are doing to avoid common parenting problems. Parenting classes can supply this for you.

What will you learn? You’ll learn the know how on getting your baby to sleep, how to properly change a diaper and the right way to feed your baby. You’ll receive hands on learning by practicing on dolls rather than just trying to learn from a book.

Are the classes affordable? Parenting classes come in a variety of formats and prices, so there’s a good chance you will find one to suit your budget. In some cities you’ll be able to find free classes put on by non profit organizations.

Another bonus you may not have considered is the ability to meet other first time mums who are in the same situation as you. These types of classes are very popular so will meet all different types of people, some of whom may become your friends. If you’re a mom without family support, this could be very important for you.

Committing to a class schedule does demand some time. A lot of expectant moms work all day until just before the birth. If you’re not working, you may not be able to get to and from the classes easily. These are a couple of things to consider.

However if you are able, I hope you will try these classes for yourself. You will quickly see the many ways that parenting classes will benefit you as a first time mom. You’ll get help and information and meet new friends into the bargain. Most importantly, you’ll be able to tackle the job of motherhood with new found confidence!
