Timing is everything!

Becoming pregnant is all about synchronising your ovulation with when you make love, get this right and you should be able to allow nature to do the rest in most cases. Getting the timing spot on is though not as easy as it sounds. There are things the woman can do to both help the body ovulate faster or more frequently, and to time when the body is ovulating thus knowing when to make love and create a baby.

There are a variety of different devices on the market such as ovulation calendars which give you a way to track your ovulation and to predict the best time to make love when you have the best chance of success, Basal thermometers which can track the body’s temperatures and give you a better idea of when your ovulating or ovulation prediction kits which essentially help you to track your ovulation as well. If there is one good thing about mother nature it's that she is often consistent with things like this, so it can to some degree of accuracy be predicted when the best time to become impregnated is. Nothing is exact, however every little bit helps!

Believe it or not, there are even studies done that have predicted that certain sexual positions will give you a better chance of getting pregnant, most likely based on the best position to give the sperm a clear shot at hitting the egg without obstacles! It is suggested by some, but not clinically proven, that some positions can improve your chances of conceiving a particular sex,. If you do your homework and learn about the many ways people and doctors respectively have discovered work for many, you may just find one or several of these work for you.

Finally if you would like to get pregnant and predict baby gender in advance, at the time of conception, you will find the information at this site really intriguing, it ties in well with the importance of timing and ovulation advice above.

Learn About Ovulation And Conception

If you are trying for a baby you need to understand the importance of charting you’re your ovulation cycle. There are lots of reasons why you can struggle to conceive, many things can affect your fertility.

Taking the time to understand your ovulation cycle will allow you to accurately pin point your most fertile time during each month. Knowing when you are at your most fertile means you can time your love making to maximise your chances of successful conception, or in other words, make sure your man’s sperm has the best chance of getting to know your egg!

Ok, so how does your ovulation cycle work? Lets discuss the details. On the day you ovulate, your body produces one fertile egg.  That’s right just one egg each month.  So you can see how imperative it is for you to know exactly when your egg will be optimally placed for fertilisation, especially if you have been finding it hard to conceive for a while.

Your ovulation period lasts for six days.It is on the final day of your six day cycle that you actually ovulate, therefore it is the sixth day when you are most fertile.Your day of ovulation will usually be fourteen days before your next period begins.  Therefore if your cycle is usually 28 days, day fourteen should be day the day you ovulate.  Whereas, if you typically have a thirty day cycle, your most fertile day would be day sixteen of your cycle.

Once you have calculated your exact day of ovulation, you can plan around it.  Your man’s sperm can survive in a woman’s body for up to four days, therefore you need to have intercourse as many times as possible in the four days before you ovulate, and on your day of ovulation as his sperm can reach your fallopian tubes in as little as twenty minutes.

Tips On How To Conceive

A lot of couples find it hard to make a baby for a number of reasons, and the longer they fail to do so, the more stressful the experience becomes, particularly for the would be mum. And the stress only makes it harder to conceive.  We always assume that getting pregnant is straightforward and that other couples don’t have similar problems.  We just see babies and don’t really consider how long the parents may have spent trying to conceive, we just see the end result that we can’t achieve, and that increases the stress and upset we feel.  We find ourselves constantly asking ourselves the same question … “how do I get pregnant?”

Of course there are couples who for medical reasons will never be able to have children, at least not as a couple.  But for the majority it really is a case of time and perseverance.  But is there anything you can do to give Mother Nature a helping hand?

Well, firstly, let’s go back to the beginning.  Stop getting stressed!  Stress can imbalance your hormones and will make it harder for you to conceive.  Taking time to get pregnant is normal so stop worrying.  Instead concentrate on what you can do to improve your chances rather than harming them unnecessarily.

For example, a healthy diet is a good place to start, and if you’re overweight, try losing a few pounds.  Both can have a real effect on your fertility.

To really improve your chances you need to take the time to fully understand the timings of your ovulation cycle.  By familiarising yourself with the workings of your menstrual cycle you have a much better probability of his sperm and your egg being in the right place at exactly the required time. The female body releases one egg every month, so its important you know exactly when it is released so that you can time your lovemaking to coincide with your fertile period, therefore giving the greatest opportunity of conception.
