Baby Jogger Stroller

Every new parent needs to have some type of baby stroller to enable them to get out and about with baby, without having to carry the infant. There are a number of different types of strollers that new parents can choose from and one of the more popular models is the jogging stroller. Jogging strollers are quite a bit different than the traditional strollers in several ways.

Jogger strollers refer to the kind of baby strollers that are built with three wheels instead of four, which is the configuration found on standard types of infant strollers. These baby jogger strollers are designed specifically for parents who are very active and who typically engage in outdoor activities, such as jogging, running, fitness walking, or simply walking quickly in order to take care of the many tasks of the day.

Jogging strollers can be used for a variety of situations, from moving across uneven terrain like hiking and walking trains, or flat surfaces like jogging tracks, or just for easy maneuverability when winding your way through busy sidewalks or a swarming shopping mall. Baby jogger stroller models have different sizes and types of wheels that are each designed for more of the indoor or flat surface uses, while other models are equipped specifically to deal with any kind of terrain or surface.

There are some different considerations to take into account when you want to buy a jogging stroller. The first thing to consider is how the stroller will be used, for the most part. Will it primarily be used while running or while walking? Or, will it be used equally for both types of activities? Will you regularly be taking the baby in the stroller out to the park and on hiking trails where the terrain is uneven and rough?

For parents who are avid runners and like to get out into nature on off-road pathways, they should be looking at a jogging stroller with larger wheels. The ideal size of wheels for these uses is 20 inches. This size of the wheels on the baby jogger will give the stroller, and the baby inside, a much smoother ride when going over uneven or bumpy surfaces, and will help to maneuver over curbs and such.

If you expect to primarily be doing light jogging or walking for health and fitness, then the 16-inch wheel is probably a good choice. This size will provide good baby jogger performance, and while it can still be used for outdoor activities such as running, walking or hiking, it also performs well in other situations, such as shopping and maneuvering around stores.

If the parents will mostly be using the stroller for light walking, such as shopping, then a jogging stroller with a 12-inch wheel size is probably the best choice. This small wheel size enables the jogger to move around obstacles more nimbly, which can be particularly important for wending your way through stores with narrow aisles.

There are several other kinds of features and accessories that you will find as you are shopping and comparing jogging strollers. One of the most important features is a sturdy safety harness that will secure the baby well, but that is also simple and easy to buckle and to remove. If you plan to be using the baby jogger out on rough terrain, it is also a good idea to be sure the model you select has a good parking brake.

How to Buy the Best Baby Stroller for your Needs

When a couple learns that they have a baby on the way for the first time, they are faced with a myriad of decisions to make and essential items to buy. Baby strollers are amongst the first things that new parents begin shopping for, since they are such a basic yet essential need. Good quality strollers for baby will give new parents peace of mind, in knowing their little one is safe and comfortable, as well as convenience, by being able to push the infant in the stroller rather than carrying him or her everywhere.

In many instances, new or expecting parents find themselves totally overwhelmed by the numerous choices and decisions they have to make about fitting out their baby’s room and selecting the furniture, equipment, and accessories to properly prepare for a new arrival. When it comes to picking out a stroller, there are a large number of different stroller types in a multitude of styles, all made by numerous different manufacturers of various baby accessories and equipment.

Generally, baby strollers are intended to grow with the youngster, from infancy up until the age of three or four. Since this means that you will be using the stroller for a couple of years, at least, it is better to get one that is built to last instead of plumping for the cheapest model available.

An important aspect of any stroller selection is the size it folds down to for storage purposes. This is especially important when going on a car trip where the stroller is typically folded up and stashed away in the trunk while your child travels in their baby car seat to your destination. Once at the store or mall, you will unfold the stroller to push your baby around in. Therefore, you need to be mindful of the space required in the car luggage compartment in order to stow the folded down stroller.

Due to the continual need to fold and unfold strollers, an additional consideration is the built-in mechanism for folding it up. There are several models that can be folded or opened with one hand and these are particularly handy when you do not want to set your youngster down to deal with folding up the baby stroller.

For a number of people, lightweight travel strollers are an important criterion. This is especially true if you will be traveling regularly by air, bus or train and need to take the stroller along on the trip. Umbrella strollers are one popular choice since they are easy to fold and carry. However, they have little in the way of additional storage areas. If you need space on the stroller for a variety of baby travel accessories, then this type may not be the best option.

There are several specialty baby strollers, such as jogger strollers, which are built more sturdily and are designed for moms with an active lifestyle. Additionally, there are twin strollers that are ideal, not only if you are expecting twins, but also for a family that already have two small children. Recently, makers have also begun designing strollers that have a baby car seat built-in so that the parents do not have to take the child out of the stroller and then buckle him or her up in the car seat.
